Merry (Christ)mas!!!!

Dear Family and Friends~
I couldn't find a picture of Chet and myself that I like so you will have to live with one that is a few years old. Chet hasn't grown his facial hair all the way back yet for mine and James' birthdays. So he wouldn't pose for the camera. I hope that this year finds you all happy and healthy!! I am going to go with pictures this year because I am writing this all by myself. Chet said bah humbug when it came to helping me. I guess that means I could write anything I wanted and he couldn't say a thing about it. But I guess being nice would be better. We have had a great year. Just a little run down. We sent Chrys away to Ohio for 2 years in March. Not that we don't love him, we thought that a mission would help him grow up a little. It has done wonders so far. We got to see all our kids and grandkids twice, bonus!! March and July was great!! We went to New Mexico and Chelsie and Chuck met us there at Chet Michael's and Jaime's. We also got to go to California for Chet's sisters wedding in November. A Robinson reunion!! It was a great trip!! So now I am going to post some pictures of the kids and grandkids. Enjoy!

So here is Chet Michael and Jaime. They are loving New Mexico, maybe Utah will love them someday? Livvy is 10 and Harris is 6. Disney is also a part of the family so she had to be in the picture. Livvy got braces and an expander this year. Harris had a bad fall in and knocked his front teeth out. They love school and going to the Zoo. I don't blame them, I love their Zoo!!

And here are Chuck and Chelsie. Loving Arkansas and maybe Utah someday? I know I say this every year. Tyler is 8, Caleb is 6 and Jackson is 4. In this house, just like with Liv and Harris, it's all about the Bey Blade. Did you know these boys can dance? They put on a show for us. But when you have a cool Dad and a Mom that is a dancer that is what you get. They are doing awesome in school and Jackson gets to spend his time with Mommy.

What!? Nate got engaged!? Finally!! And here is the proof....Ashlee!! Mark your calendars for March people. They met at work then Ashlee moved in with her Grandma in Ogden. So now we don't see them much because Nate goes there on the weekends. But hey, if they are happy we are happy!! They also have the cutest dog Scruffy!! So here's to new beginnings!!

Elder Chrys as we call him now. He is doing well in Xenia, Ohio right now. He is still sending people to his facebook page. It's nice to have the members put pictures on of him and send messages back and forth. We also have been able to get on at the same time when he is emailing. But the best part about Christmas is we get to talk to him!! So if you don't hear from us for a little bit, we are busy talkin' to the Elder!!

Now we are to James. I asked him which picture he wanted on here and he chose my favorite one of him and Chrys. This is powdered sugar from little doughnuts. I know this is an older picture, but I love it and so does James. Well we are surviving the 8th grade. James loves that he can have us all to himself when he wants to. We love to torture him and he loves to torture us back. I have to say I do end up in the dog pile when I really didn't mean to. He also likes that he is now taller than me. As it should be is what I say.

Being a Grandma I need to add one of the sweet pictures of my loves. They keep me going!!

I hope that this year has been a good one for you. I hope that you have love in your families. May you all have a very Merry (Christ)mas and a Happy New Year!!

Dear Family and Friends~

So here we are again. I wanted to write this and have a song in my head that would sum up how I feel about this last year. The first song that came to mind was "Another one bites the dust". But somehow I couldn't see the Osmond's singing this in their Santa hats. So while I write this I will think of song that will sum up this letter and that may work better.

It has been like always a very busy year. For me it has been also very dizzy. We have been doing all the regular things. Driving kids, cleaning house, you know, all the parent stuff. Chet and I are really boring. If they made a movie of our lives it would be us going in and out of the garage taking one of the kids somewhere then pushing the vacuum around, we are boring. Man I need to get a life or maybe I need to write a really fancy letter about all the things we don't do to make us sound really cool. We did go to New Mexico this year for eleven days. There was a little excitement. Well July was awesome because we had the whole family here. I think I will just move on to the kids.

James is now in the 7Th grade. He is doing well and just says "yes Mom" to get me to go away. You know how that age is. He is taking Chinese and walks around saying things I don't understand. I decided to start him on piano now that he has been playing the violin for 4 years and he is picking it up really well. But don't forget he is a boy. He loves his video games!!!

Chrys is still working at Buy Low Market. He loves it when BYU is back in because of all the hot girls that come through his checkout stand. He teaches the 9-10 year old kids in church and they all love him because he brings them candy at least once times a month. He also has his mission papers in. We are stalking the mailbox waiting, but it could be January when we get his call. He is still the biggest goof ball I know and keeps you laughing all the time.

Nate is still working at Results. They have changed taking calls for many different companies and he was out of work for three weeks, but it looks like things are doing better now. It is a long drive to his work that's what I don't like. You would think it would be a great time for a talk, but Nate takes a cat nap so the conversations are a nod here and there. He came home and surprised us with a haircut! It is nice to see his eyes!!

Chelsie and Chuck are liking their new house. Chuck is doing well with his job and being closer to home he gets to spend more time there. Chelsie is a little homemaking diva. The boys are getting so big!! Tyler is 7 and doing really well in school. Caleb is 5 and Jackson is 3. They do Mommy school. We talk to them on the computer and they are so silly!!! It is really hard to have them 22 hours away. Arkansas agrees with them, but I wish that maybe someday Utah will. Don't I say that every year??

Chet Michael and Jaime are liking New Mexico. There are a lot of different things to out there. Chet Michael is doing well at HP so that Jaime can stay at home or go shopping which is what she likes. Livvy is 9 and Harris is 5. They are going to a Montessori school and doing well. It is really hard to live 10 hours away from them too. I hope that they find their way back to Utah also. I think I may be a little selfish when it comes to my kids and grand kids.

So thinking about the song again my mind come back to the sweet and simple "Silent Night, Holy Night". Things may not always be calm in our house, but we try to by the end of the day to have calm. We pray and do our best to have the Savior in our hearts and in our home. There will always be challenges, but without them we will not grow. We can not become what we are to be. So at this Christmas time I hope that Heavenly Peace will be in your homes. That love will be forever around each and every one of you.
May you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
Love~ The Robinson

Dear Family and Friends~ Welcome to our home. We wanted to try something new and feel we are saving our planet at the same time. Well OK, maybe just trying something new. I couldn't decide if I wanted to do a family letter or a family blog this year. I guess the family blog won or should I say Chet won. So I will do my best to make this as entertaining as I can.
I asked my family what I should write and they told me it had been an awful year. So I guess that is our starting point. My husband is crazy after being hit by a tree. I pray that I will have my old Chet back soon. He says he is here. Ask me and I will tell you the truth.
After surviving the tree we had all our family with us for 18 days in July. We had 17+ people at any given time. We are so thankful that almost everyone knew how to do dishes! I would have put a picture on here, but my computer and my brain were not working together. Chet just rolls his eyes.

Chet's car has a few more dents in it now. I have officially added to them. I thought I would pay Chet back for him putting a new dent in mine while backing into our neighbor. I won't go into detail because it is just too embarrassing. The power people even laughed at me.
Halloween brought a lot of fun. We realized our children are very creative. We had a pumpkin that was throwing up and one that was Aang the avatar. Chrys had a really bad green jumpsuit costume that I will never publish the pictures. James ended up having three. The last one had long dreadlocks.
Thanksgiving was wonderful. Our Turkey was frozen and we found two small ones just in time. Also I didn't burn the gravy this year. We had 20 people over to eat till we couldn't move. Thank goodness for paper plates and bowls. Plastic cups and older children who do the dishes. My Dad found out he was cancer free after chemo treatments that really sucked. That was a happy birthday for my Mom!
Now we come to December. We started with the Relief Society coming over for good music, food and girl talk. It was a great way to start off the holiday season. We have four trees because you can never have too many. We have gobs of lights because you just have to have gobs of lights. James is counting how many presents are under the tree and how many birthday presents there are too. It is half way through the month and I still don't have my Christmas cards out, but that is not a surprise. Chet says that is sad, but I don't see him helping.
Chet says now I need to finish this with a spiritual message. I am very thankful most days for my family. Chet didn't like that. OK. I am very thankful for my family. I am thankful for my friends. It has been a different year. It has taught me a lot in leaning on the Lord and the people around me. It's Christmas. I love Christmas. I am thankful for the Savior and his love.
Chet is done and so am I. I hope that this season finds all of you well and happy. We love you all!!!

Love~ Chet, Wendy, Nate, Chrys and James
